INTRODUCING ABIGAIL BIRCH-PRICE
Abigail Birch-Price grew up in a musical family in Liverpool. She started learning piano and music theory from her Mother at a very young age, but later also went on to learn numerous other instruments, such as voice, violin, viola, guitar and bass guitar. She continued her musical studies at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, followed by a Masters in Arts Management at University of Manchester.

Since high school she has also helped others to enjoy music; in school by running string quartets and choirs, and during her degree at Cambridge, where she held the Fitzwilliam College Conducting and Music Leadership Scholarship for three years. She currently works as Choir Director at Prescot Parish Church, Music Administrator at Blackburn Cathedral, Project Administrator at the Diocese of Liverpool and Deputy Conductor for South Liverpool Orchestra.

She has organised numerous concerts, events and a 24-hour Singathon for charity, raising money for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, The Oliver King Foundation, Cambridge Pink Week, The Tennis Aces, Women's Aid, Music in Hospitals & Care, The Mental Health Warriors, Diabetes UK and Cancer Research UK.
COMPOSING
Abigail has been composing since 2011, with songs as her main focus. She has written over 50 songs, some secular and some religious. From around 2015 she also began composing orchestral works, and more recently she has explored choral and solo pieces.

Over the last few years she has had the honour of composing specially commissioned works for birthdays and weddings. If you would like Abigail to compose a bespoke piece of music for you, your event or your ensemble, please get in touch.
PERFORMING
Abigail has had the opportunity to play all her instruments in her Church music group since she was young and also performed in school concerts. She has been able to perform her own songs in both these contexts, as well as at the Liverpool Pentecost Pageant.

After singing with the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral Youth Choir, Abigail focused on singing during her degree. She sang as an alto with Selwyn College Chapel Choir, where she met her husband, and began her solo career as alto soloist for Haydn's 'St Nicholas Mass' and Pergolesi's 'Stabat Mater'.

More recently Abigail and Zak have performed at their own concerts and events, as well as vocal, piano and flute solos with South Liverpool Orchestra and at Blackburn Cathedral.

They both now also enjoy being a part of Prescot Parish Choir, performing at weekly services plus other special concerts and events, with Abigail conducting and Zak singing bass.

If you would like to hire Abigail and/or Zak to perform at an event or record something for you, please get in touch.
